Bryanston's inaugural Prep School Eco Challenge Day

Our Eco Challenge Day for Prep Schools took place on Tuesday 23 May, welcoming over fifty Year Six pupils from Sunninghill Prep School, Salisbury Cathedral School, Windlesham, Castle Court and Hazlegrove.

To celebrate the inaugural Eco Challenge Day at Bryanston, we welcomed Henry Greenwood from the Green Schools Project, to set the scene in his opening address. The Green Schools Project is an organisation that helps schools develop their responses to the climate and ecological crises.

Various indoor and outdoor activities got underway, including bug hotel building; a tree quiz; eco-art; analysis of the impacts of climate change; and a task to design an eco-school. The activities were led by Bryanston pupils from year groups ranging from D to A3, who took great advantage of this leadership development opportunity.

Our Eco Day is one of a number of initiatives to raise the profile of the climate crisis at Bryanston, as the importance of climate action becomes evermore clear. We hope to build on the success of this event in subsequent years and continue to work alongside our pupil-led Green Committee to drive further initiatives and activities.
