Congratulations to Bryanston’s outgoing A2 year group, who today received their A Level results and, with them, the news of where their next chapter begins. This year, 86% of Bryanston pupils secured a university place of their choice, with 77% achieving their first choices. Academically, 66% of all A Level grades awarded were A*-B, reflecting the strength and dedication of this year group.
This follows an excellent set of IB Diploma results earlier in the summer, where this year’s cohort achieved an average score of 33.2 points, comfortably above the global mean of 30.88.
This year’s A2s, together with last year’s post-applicants, submitted 123 university applications between them, continuing Bryanston’s tradition of sending leavers on to both domestic and global destinations. In the UK, places secured so far include Oxford, St Andrews, Edinburgh, Durham, LSE, Exeter, Bristol, Falmouth and The Courtauld Institute of Art. Overseas, pupils have received offers from the Istituto Marangoni school of fashion and design in Milan, the University of Colorado Boulder, Ohio State University, a joint programme between Columbia and Trinity College Dublin, ESADE Business School in Barcelona, and medical school in Malta, among others.
The range of courses on offer reflects the versatility of a Bryanston education, with leavers heading off to read Politics, Law, 3D Design Innovation, Biomedical Sciences, Aerospace Engineering, Fine Art, Music, Climate Science, Business, Filmmaking, Biological Sciences, Costume Design, Mechanical Engineering and Sport Science. Others are taking less conventional routes into Art Schools and degree apprenticeships.

“I often talk about the journey our pupils embark on at Bryanston, and what strikes me most today is the sheer range of destinations our pupils are heading to. From traditional degrees at many of the UK’s leading universities to those commencing practical courses and degree apprenticeships, it’s a genuine reflection of the breadth we offer in the Sixth Form, and of the space our pupils are given to pursue what really interests them. I’d also like to recognise and thank all the staff here who have supported the pupils throughout their Bryanston journey.”
