The Bryanston Book of Remembrance, based on the extensive research of dedicated volunteer archivist Joanna Dean, who sadly passed away in 2020, has been carefully compiled by current archivist Laura Sweetenham and volunteer, Mike Silvester. Marking the 80th anniversary of VE Day, this special publication pays tribute to the Old Bryanstonians who gave their lives during World War 2 and in the years that followed, sharing their personal stories of bravery and sacrifice.
In addition to honouring their military service, the book sheds light on the time these young men spent at Bryanston and provides a wider narrative of wartime school life – capturing the spirit of Bryanston.
