Hunter House Wins House Singing 2026

12 October 2026

This weekend brought one of the most eagerly anticipated events in the Bryanston calendar – House Singing. A much-loved school tradition, the evening involved pupils from all 10 boarding houses in a spectacular celebration of music, dance, and, above all, house spirit. The theme this year was Nostalgia.

For the past three weeks, houses have been busy rehearsing, perfecting their routines and creating an array of costumes, all in preparation for their moment on stage.

Their hard work paid off, with every house delivering a wonderfully entertaining performance, combining enthusiastic singing with colourful costumes and imaginative choreography. From D through to A2, every pupil played their part, cheered on by their housemates and friends.

Bryanston’s Heads of School and Deputy Heads of School took on the role of presenters for the evening, introducing each house to the stage and keeping the entertainment flowing as the performances unfolded.

Judges Chris Mills, Katie Richards and Graham Scott faced the unenviable task of choosing the winners from an impressive line-up of performances. While they deliberated, the whole school joined together for a rousing rendition of Sweet Caroline.

Hunter House was crowned the overall winner, also taking the title of Winning Girls’ House, while Salisbury secured the award for Winning Boys’ House.

Further recognition went to Allan House for Best Costume, while Salisbury’s talented Libra Zhong (C) received the award for Best Solo Performance, wowing the audience with an extraordinary display of yo-yo skills.

Beyond the competition, House Singing is a wonderful reflection of what makes Bryanston’s boarding community so special. With every pupil taking part, houses cheering one another on and the whole school coming together in Coade Hall, the evening demonstrated a tremendous sense of community.

Congratulations to Hunter House and all the award winners, and to everyone who helped make House Singing 2026 another unforgettable Bryanston occasion.
