This week, our Bryanston Prep pupils shone in a fantastic production of Dr Dolittle JR. We are so proud of everyone involved; the show was a real celebration of the pupils’ hard work and enthusiasm.
The show was led by the marvellous Theo in the title role of Doctor Dolittle. Despite being ill and losing his voice, he delivered a truly impressive and highly professional performance, and should be highly commended for the dedication, resilience and energy he brought to the role.
There were also wonderful performances from Verity, Flynn and Thea, who had an enormous amount to learn and rose to the challenge brilliantly, performing with confidence and charm. It was a joy to see the whole cast supporting one another and bringing so much life and character to the stage.
There were many standout moments across the production, including the energetic opening number ‘Doctor Dolittle’, which featured impressive backflips and cartwheels, setting the tone for a lively and entertaining show. Another highlight was the beautiful performance of ‘Never Seen Anything Like It’, wonderfully sung by Archie.
Reflecting on the performance, Miss Davies said: “I was incredibly proud of the entire cast. They showed such commitment, teamwork and enthusiasm throughout rehearsals and the performance itself. It was wonderful to see their confidence shine on stage and they truly brought the story of Doctor Dolittle JR to life.”
