AFC Bournemouth and Bryanston sign Strategic Partnership

25 June 2026

AFC Bournemouth has agreed a new partnership with Bryanston School, creating an exciting opportunity to further strengthen the club’s academy pathway and support the development of young players both on and off the pitch.

The partnership will see Bryanston become a Regional Partner of AFC Bournemouth, establishing a close working relationship between the two organisations as the club continues to invest in the growth and progression of its academy programme.

The partnership brings together one of the country’s most innovative independent schools with a club recognised for its commitment to developing talent and providing clear pathways for emerging players. As the relationship develops, both organisations will look to share expertise across player development, performance and education, while exploring opportunities for closer alignment between Bryanston’s football programme and AFC Bournemouth’s long-term academy ambitions.

Sam Gisborne, AFC Bournemouth’s Head of Academy, welcomed the new partnership and believes it will play an important role in supporting the club’s long-term player development ambitions.

He said: “The partnership with Bryanston is an exciting moment for us as an Academy. Bryanston is widely recognised as one of the most exciting and innovative schools in the UK, and we are confident that this partnership will help support the next stage of our academy’s development.”

The school’s commitment to developing young athletes makes it a natural partner for AFC Bournemouth as the club continues to create opportunities for talented players to thrive.

Richard Jones, Head of Bryanston, welcomed the agreement and highlighted the shared vision between the two organisations. “We are delighted to be partnering with AFC Bournemouth at such an exciting time in the club’s development,” he said. “This is a significant moment for Bryanston and for our football programme. It reflects the progress we are making as a school and our growing reputation as a place where talented young footballers can pursue excellence both on the pitch and in the classroom. We believe strongly that the future of football development must combine elite sporting opportunity with an outstanding all-round education, and this partnership is a powerful expression of that vision.”

Mark Foster, Bryanston’s Head of Football and a UEFA A-licensed coach, believes the collaboration will create further opportunities for aspiring players. “This is an exciting opportunity to build a close relationship between Bryanston and AFC Bournemouth,” he said. “For us as a school, it is another important step in establishing Bryanston as one of the leading football schools in the country. Our football programme is growing rapidly, and this partnership will help us create even stronger pathways and support for pupils, benefiting both our male and female players as they develop academically, personally and athletically.”
