Cello (VMT)
Sally Stell began her cello studies at her childhood home in Dorset, and at the age of 12 won a place at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester. She was awarded a scholarship to study at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, graduating as the winner of a major ‘cello prize, and then continued her studies with Johannes Goritzki at the Robert Schumann Institute in Dusseldorf.
Sally is an experienced chamber musician and has given recitals and concerts throughout the UK and Germany. Now based in Dorset she is a member of Dorchester Piano Quartet and Wessex Piano Quartet and freelances with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and for various choral societies and ensembles. Sally is a cello teacher at various Dorset schools including Sherborne and Bryanston.
