Kumar Sangakkara

Kumar Sangakkara is a former Sri Lankan cricketer and captain who is widely regarded as one of the world's most influential cricketers and one of the greatest batsmen of all-time.

Sangakkara scored 28,016 runs in international cricket across all formats and dominated the No. 1 spot in the ICC Test batting rankings between 2005 and 2015.

Since his international retirement in 2016 he has been involved in a variety of sporting leadership roles. In 2019 and 2020 he became the first non-British President of the Marylebone Cricket Club. He has since served as the Chairman of the MCC’s influential World Cricket Committee. He is currently the Director of Cricket at Rajasthan Royals overseeing cricket franchises in India, South Africa and the West Indies. He is also a leading cricket broadcaster for SKY Sports.
