New Appointments at Bryanston Prep School

Bryanston has announced a number of new appointments at the Prep School.

Head of Bryanston, Richard Jones, advised: ‘I am delighted to announce these new appointments, including Simon Ridley as the new Head of Bryanston Prep following Will Lockett’s departure. I would like to thank Will for his years of service to our school and wish him well in the future.

‘Simon’s prior leadership experience assures us of a seamless continuation of the progress made to date. With Simon at the helm, we are also strengthening our Prep senior leadership team, beginning on 1 January, with Laura Richards, who has an impressive track record and will step into the role of Deputy Head Pastoral.'

Taking over from Laura Richards as the Head of Lower Prep and Year 4 class teacher in January 2024 will be Harry Montacute. Harry is moving from St Michael's Middle School in Wimborne, where he is the Acting Head of Year 5. His role as Head of Lower Prep will also include responsibility for the Pre-Prep.

Our sincere thanks to Heather Nye, who has served as Head of Pre-Prep since September 2014, and we are delighted that Heather is staying with us as a full-time classroom teacher in the Pre-Prep from January 2024.

Josie Dixon also joins us in January as the new Head of Sport from Bristol Grammar School, where her tenure as Head of Hockey has been marked by the introduction of innovative performance programs and athletic development initiatives. Paul Manning joins our team as a part-time PE teacher. With his current roles at Castle Court Prep and Brockenhurst College, along with his coaching responsibilities at AFC Bournemouth, Paul brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise that will significantly enhance our Prep sports department.

We would like to congratulate all of the new appointments and extend a warm to them as they join the Bryanston community.
