End-of-term squash report

It has been an extremely busy term for squash with the first two boys’ squads playing at an excellent standard.

Our first boys’ team has been very successful in the inter-school ‘friendly’ matches against Sherborne, Canford, Marlborough, Winchester College, Millfield and Clayesmore, registering eight wins and one draw.

The only slight disappointment was at The National Schools’ Competition, where we came up against some of the very best teams in the country who sported top nationally ranked players in their teams. We lost against Peter Symonds, Eton and Bradfield College, but won some strings, with special credit to Cameron R and Luke E.

The boys’ star of the show over the term has been captain Cameron R who upset the books on several occasions with some outstanding victories against extremely able opposition at number 2 string; his application, ball control, work ethic and sheer bloody mindedness is a real credit to him and he is a great example of what is needed on the squash court!

The girl’s star is Georgia F who remains unbeaten in girls matches and is a regular member of the Dorset County squad. She has also climbed up the boys’ order and plays regularly in the top eight which has never happened at Bryanston! She has worked so hard over the months and is still going up the ranks.

Congratulations to everyone!
