Soccer Sunday
On Sunday 23 September the prestigious house football took place and it was a real crowd pleaser.
It was a display of positive energy showing fantastic team effort and cohesion across both the girls' and boys' tournaments, with 62 matches played and a total of 118 goals scored.
It was a delight to see a number of different houses winning tournaments across the age groups. A particular highlight was watching the unbeaten Hunter girls winning the senior competition with ease and only conceding a single goal. The A2 Salisbury boys pulling off a shock victory against Portman in the very last game of the day kept the suspense growing and resulted in a three-way tie between Connaught, Portman and Salisbury. However, Connaught were crowned the champions due to the goal difference.
In the junior boys tournament, Beechwood and Cranborne challenged one another in two thrilling matches, which resulted in Cranborne taking the victory with a 10-7 win. The full set of results are as follows:
- A2 boys: Connaught (on goal difference)
- A3 boys: Portman
- B/C boys: Portman
- D boys: Cranborne
- A2/A3 girls: Hunter
- B/C girls: Hunter
