Live theatre: then and now
Published: 9 March 2017
A2 Theatre Studies pupils recently enjoyed a busy and educational trip to London.
As part of their preparations for this summer's written Theatre Studies exam, pupils travelled to London. During their short stay (just two days), they saw three outstanding productions: Love's Labour's Lost at the Theatre Royal Haymarket, Twelfth Night at the National Theatre and The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time at the Gielgud Theatre.
However, the trip was not just about experiencing modern live performances. The group also visited Shakespeare's Globe and exhibition for a tour, during which they studied the original performance conditions of Shakespeare's plays.
