Bryanston hosts the IAPS Regional Swimming Gala for U10s through to U13s
At the end of last week, we welcomed 177 prep school swimmers to Bryanston for the IAPS Regional Swimming Gala.
Swimmers from Dumpton, Port Regis, Yarrells, Twyford, St Hugh’s Oxford, Durlston Court, Farleigh, Kingswood, and The Pilgrim’s School, all joined us on Friday 4 March. This was the first time we had held this event.
Almost 180 swimmers from nine different prep schools lay down their qualifying times for the national prep schools’ competition.
Bryanston’s Head of Swimming Richard Johnson commented: “Every swimmer gave their best and there was a fantastic energy as each age group came poolside to compete in the individual and relay swims that were broadcast live to other age groups waiting in the main sports hall. Equally excited were the many supporters, many of which had not been able to see their children swim competitively for nearly two years.”
We’d like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that raced as part of the IAPS swimming regional qualifiers – and a huge thank you to all of the supporters, coaches, officials and of course Bryanston staff and pupils that made it such an enjoyable event.
