Bryanston supports the Blandford Food Bank for its annual Harvest Service
The School celebrated its annual Harvest Service in St. Martin’s Church on Sunday 26 September.

A3 pupils were in attendance and were fortunate to be able to listen to Heidi Roberts from Blandford Foodbank talk about all that the Foodbank has offered to the DT11 community in the last year. Heidi spoke about the pressure points for families, and the hopes for diverse aid to be offered in the future. Heidi also pointed out that families particularly valued learning new recipes along with their food parcels.
Pupils had been asked to bring an item back following the last open weekend, to make up recipe bags for tuna mayonnaise pasta.
Chaplain Revd. Jo Davis commented: “We were delighted that overall, thanks to everyone’s efforts, we collected enough ingredients to make 68 recipe bags, along with five boxes of other donations.”
A2 pupil James L helped to drive the initiative in his new role as Head of Charity and Outreach, along with charity reps from each House.
The service finished with a rousing rendition of ‘You shall go out with joy’.
