Pupils support Hug A Hospital campaign for NHS staff
Pupils at Bryanston are supporting the ‘Hug A Hospital’ campaign to show their appreciation for the wonderful NHS staff by creating cards of gratitude.
‘Hug A Hospital’ is a national campaign which was set up in March 2020 in response to the Coronavirus pandemic. The campaign aims to raise and maintain morale in hospitals through the giving of virtual and metaphoric hugs from the communities around them by delivering handmade cards. Over the course of the past year, the initiative has received huge support from companies, organisations and schools.
Our pupils have been designing cards as part of their weekend activities in boarding houses and have enjoyed writing personal messages of thanks inside the cards to the NHS staff working with Covid-19 patients in the UK.

Head of Charities and Community Engagement Doc Fearnley commented: “We wanted to join in with this campaign and show our support for the amazing work the NHS staff are doing. We want them to know that they are not forgotten and how grateful the Bryanston community is for everything they are continuing to do. Even though the staff must be exhausted, we hope these colourful cards help bring some joy to their day.”
