Screenwriter and actor Charlie Covell was invited to Bryanston on Friday 31 January to speak to an audience of pupils, staff and parents in the Elder Concert Hall. Charlie also handed out the prizes for the Fade In competition and read the five shortlisted entries to the audience.

First prize for the best original screenplay for a short film, ‘Beyond the Blackboard’, went to Alice (The Blandford School). Second prize was given to Dan (The Blandford School) for ‘The Management Mauser’ and third prize went to Sam M and Angelica M (Bryanston) for ‘Brideshead Reimagined.’

Charlie was also interviewed by Bryanston sixth formers Angelica and Mungo, giving an insight into her successful acting and screenwriting career, including her recent adaptation of 'The End of the F***ing World' for Netflix and Channel 4. We’re very grateful to Charlie for giving up her time to come and meet with pupils.
