Bryanston welcomes 450 runners for the Ken Baily Races

Bryanston welcomed more than 450 runners from across Dorset to take part in the renowned Ken Baily Races on Thursday 23 January. Participating runners ranged from Year 7 to Upper Sixth pupils.

Bryanston runners (Senior Girls) – Rebecca C, Gabriella S, Violet W, Monar S, Lucy S

The shortest race of the day was 2.8km for the junior boys and girls, ranging up to the longest of 5.6km for the senior boys. We’d like to take this opportunity to congratulate Emily S, who achieved the fastest time for intermediate girls – well done, Emily! Bryanston achieved third place in senior girls and fifth place in senior boys – well done to everyone that took part yesterday.

Benedict Burgess-Smith, Head of Cross Country at Bryanston, commented: “As one of the biggest school races in Dorset, there are a lot of people involved in making this day a success – including Rob Froud and his team, Mike Kearney and a whole host of pupil and teaching marshals organised by Charles Holland, not to mention our ever-fantastic catering team.”
