Bryanston musician awarded a place at The Royal Northern College of Music
Congratulations to Bryanston musician May P, who has been offered a place at the Royal Northern College of Music (RNCM) in Manchester.
May was awarded her place after a highly competitive audition process at RNCM and will specialise in singing and song writing on their unique Popular Music course.
The RNCM is a leading international conservatoire, known for its innovation. They train students to world-class levels through a specialised learning programme of the highest quality, delivered by internationally renowned teachers and underpinned by a unique artistic programme of performances.
This special recognition builds on May’s success at Berklee College of Music in the summer of 2019, where she was offered a scholarship to study there as an undergraduate.
Director of Music Stephen Williams commented: “May has an instinctive and joyous approach to her performing and writing; alongside her great determination and intellect that promises a rich future in the music industry. Her performance at our London concert in October touched everyone who heard it. As well as being a technically gifted trumpeter, pianist and singer, she possesses that rare gift to show honesty and authenticity through and in her lyrics and music.”
