A2 Charities day

For this year’s A2 Charities Day (taking place on Sunday 3 March), our pupils have decided to support United World Schools (UWS), a UK-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of some of the world’s poorest children through education.

Their ambition is to build and fund a school for 200 Cambodian children, and so are hoping to raise £29,000 through a range of fundraising activities. They have put a lot of energy and thought into the day, and have come up with a fantastic range of events for the whole school and extended Bryanston family to get involved in, including:

  • a dog show
  • a silent auction
  • an online photography exhibition
  • a parents and family lunch.

New to this year is a Whole School Challenge, where staff and pupils can take on individual challenges to support the cause. The event is being led by our Head Girl, Zeynep K and Head Boy, Cameron R, and you can hear them being interviewed by BBC Radio Solent this morning:

Once they have raised enough money and created a building plan, a group of pupils will travel to Cambodia in September to help with the construction process.
