Pupils stage an array of arts performances for the SCene Weekend

Once again it was a fun, action-packed weekend for the C year who hosted 'The sCene', a festival celebrating the arts.

The costume theme on Saturday night was Dreamland, leading to the strange sight of everyone eating their all-day breakfast supper in a colourful array of pyjamas, onesies and dressing-gowns!

The show on Saturday night was excellent - the house films were amusing and creative, even after being hastily put together, and the gig was a great success, with outstanding contributions from Connor, Lingling, Hugo, Lula, Teagan, Maddie, Iona, Emilia and Jack.

On Sunday, after the C singers had performed in church, we had our usual profusion of workshops all round the school and huge thanks must go to all the staff who gave up their Sunday afternoons to entertain and enthuse all the pupils. The sCene ended with a fun performance in the EEMR, where everyone got to see what had been produced in the percussion, dance, stage fighting and film workshops.

Thank you to Jez and the tech crew for all their help and to everyone else who helped to make this such a successful weekend.
