Bryanston celebrates European Day of Languages
Published: 3 October 2022
European Day of Languages celebrates language and culture from across the world and aims to promote the rich linguistic diversity of Europe and raise awareness of the importance of lifelong language learning for everyone.

Here are just some of the activities we celebrated with:
- Pupils were encouraged to dress in the colours of their flag, while still abiding to the Dress Code. Prefects helped and encouraged them to dress accordingly.
- A brilliant Assembly was held by Catalina A V, Mariam K, Stefaniya M, Antonia O M and Annika D, about Xenophobia and the joy of learning language. The Assembly ended with an interactive activity, where pupils were asked to write their favourite foreign language word on a post-it note that has since been arranged as a display on a noticeboard in Main School.
- Our Overseas Prefect Catalina A V hosted a fantastic BryRadio show, playing a selection of international music and interviewing international pupils.
- Our Catering Department put on an incredible themed feast and the dining hall shone with flags and decorations.
We were delighted to celebrate with our pupils and maximise the opportunity to raise the profile of languages in Bryanston.
