Confirmation Services at St. Martin's Chapel

The last week has been a busy one at St. Martin's Church, our School Chapel, with not one but two Confirmation Services.
Bishop Karen led the Church of England Confirmation on Sunday 23 April, with seven candidates, and Monsignor Francis led the Roman Catholic Confirmation on Friday 28 April.

Over the last two terms, the candidates have been meeting to prepare, discussing what it means to be a Christian in the 21st Century, following the Youth Alpha Course, and the Sanctuary Course respectively. The preparation for both groups culminated in a retreat in Church a few weeks ago, where we took a Sunday afternoon and evening to discuss the Holy Spirit, and what was going to be promised in the services, over games, pizza and cake – lovingly prepared by our Café staff.
