Computer Programming
Published: 29 April 2015
Not strictly science, but run by a physics teacher and of interest to many who enjoy science subjects. Is it an art form, craft or engineering discipline?
Good programming is considered to involve all three! Pupils begin by gaining some experience in using Python; an easy to learn yet powerful computer language heavily used by such organisations as Google, Yahoo!, CERN, NASA and ILM (Industrial Light and Magic). Then it's over to them, building their own app, exploring other languages, or developing their own software.
