This Saturday, pupils took part in an exciting theatrical challenge, ‘Play in a Day’! Arriving bright and early at the JB Hall, the children were welcomed by Mrs North and Mr Castle, who revealed the play for the day: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.
With enthusiasm and creativity, the children quickly got to work, splitting into groups to rehearse their scenes, learn lines, and bring the beloved story to life. Their dedication was evident as they memorised cues, delivered lines with flair, and added their own dramatic touches to each performance.
A standout moment came from Miss Short’s group, whose energetic portrayal of the Oompa Loompas – complete with singing and dancing – had everyone smiling.
The day culminated in a final performance just before lunch, showcasing the incredible talent and teamwork of all involved. It was a truly joyful experience, and one that left both the performers and their audience beaming with pride.
