Ten finalists from C (Year 10) and D (Year 9) sang in the Saxton Singing Final for Juniors this week. The pupils involved, Izzy A, May D, Oz G, Bertie H, Chrissie H, Tilly H, Max M, Katy NS, Lizzy O and Samantha VB, should all very proud of their performances.
They all gave a superb performance and, considering for some this was their first time performing a solo in the Concert Hall to an audience, showed great confidence and maturity.
Bertie H (C, Salisbury) was crowned the winner. Chrissie H (D, Allan), Tilly H (C, Allan) and Lizzy O (C, Purbeck) were all Highly Commended.
Director of Music Xavier Iles added: “Our thanks go to Robert Gildon for adjudicating the competition. He had a very tough decision to make!”
