Bryanston is celebrating one of its most successful seasons for athletics. Achievements and highlights include the North Dorset trials, with ten of our athletes qualifying to represent North Dorset in the County Championships.
The following pupils were county school champions at the County Championships:

- Jack O (Year 13, A2) 400m and 800m
Angus Young, Head of Swim, Bike, Run, commented: “The individual performances of the athletes have been incredible and a testament to both their own hard work but also that of the coaches and Performance Sports Programme teams supporting them throughout the year.
“Jack O not only won his category but also set the championship record of 1:54.09. Alongside Seni P, Jack O represented Dorset at the South West Schools Championships, with Seni winning the 300mH and coming second in the long jump, showcasing her breadth of talent and Jack winning the 800m. We are exceedingly proud to have two South West champions.”
Additionally, Jack O and Seni P achieved the National Schools standards which are extremely competitive and have been selected to compete in the National Schools Championships in the first week of the summer holidays.
In the wider Swim, Bike, Run team, Daisy A and Bibi A (Year 9, D) have made a great start to the British Elite Super Series triathlon season recently placing 11th and 4th respectively in the Lochore Aquathlon in Scotland. These are their highest finishes to date with Bibi winning one of the three races.
