There has been much to celebrate for our girls in sport this week, with success at hockey and netball trials.
Jess and Izzy have been selected for the U14 Dorset development hockey squad. Jess is mentored by Louise Tremlett, Bryanston’s Head of Hockey and Assistant Director of Sport, and Izzy by Joe Lindley, Bryanston’s Head of Physical Performance. Despite their representative success in these sports, our pupils are encouraged to play lots of different sports throughout their time at Bryanston Prep, avoiding early-specialisation. Jess also captained our riding team to victory at Hickstead during the summer holidays, whilst Izzy qualified for the National Finals in the 100m and the 200m.
Poppy and Mila have been selected for the U13 North Dorset PDP netball squad. Poppy and Mila are mentored by Asha Francis, former Team Bath and England netballer and our new Head of Netball and Performance Sport Lead. Both girls also represent the school in all major sports and proudly hold the title of ‘Dance-Off Champions’ from the 2025 Sports Celebration Evening.
All four girls are part of our Performance Sport Programme (PSP), through which they access this mentorship, as well as weekly strength and conditioning coaching, physical profiling, and education sessions, led by our Head of Physical Performance and Head Physio.
We are so proud of the girls and delighted to celebrate their success with them this week.
There are exciting times ahead, and we look forward to continuing to support them on the journey.
