To celebrate the end of a wonderful year, D (Year 9) pupils, parents and staff gathered together on Saturday 28 June for D Graduation Day.
Highlights from the academic year were celebrated with an academic and co-curricular prize-giving, talks were given from A3 (Year 12) pupils about their transition from D to C (Year 10), and Head of KS4 Cat Perkins delivered a presentation after celebrating the year group’s achievements.
Head of D Owen Morris commented: “D Graduation Day was a joyful celebration of our pupils’ talent, effort and community spirit; a special day marking the end of the Ds’ first year. We can’t wait to see what they go on to achieve next!”
The afternoon began with an impressive showcase of music and dance, shining a spotlight on the creativity and energy of the year group. Reflections on the year’s achievements followed, culminating in the prize-giving ceremony, in which academic and sporting scholarships were announced. Awards were given for subject attainment and effort.
Director of Sport Rory McCann delivered an inspiring talk and the day’s celebrations wrapped up with an afternoon of matches across campus, from the courts to the Boathouse.
