Rob Gildon, a professional baritone opera singer, vocal animateur and workshop leader, came to give a singing masterclass on Tuesday 10 February. Rob works with leading opera companies and arts organisations and delivered an enthusiastic and energetic afternoon of singing solos and working collaboratively focussing on ‘performance and style’.
Participating pupils sang to each other and moved around the Elder Concert Hall using the space to perform their chosen songs, whilst gaining an understanding of how their bodies impact their singing and delving into the meaning of the lyrics.
