Bryanston is pleased to announce the appointment of Louise Tremlett, who will take up the twin role of Assistant Director of Sport and Head of Hockey. She is currently Assistant Director of Sport and Director of Hockey at Pangbourne College. Over more than a decade in schools’ hockey, she has guided U14 boys’ and girls’ sides to national finals, while her U18 boys’ and U16 girls’ squads have claimed regional indoor titles. Away from school fixtures she serves on England Hockey’s Coaching Development Team, delivering high-performance sessions for U14 and U16 age-group players across the country.
Bryanston’s Director of Sport, Rory McCann, describes her appointment as “a chance to raise the bar for hockey at every level of the school.”
Meanwhile, former England and Singapore international Asha Francis will become Head of Netball and Performance Sport Lead. Asha won three Superleague titles with Team Bath, captaining the side to victory in 2013, and has since built a wide-ranging coaching résumé that includes roles with Superleague franchise Mavericks (assistant coach), the Sport Ready Academy in Singapore (general manager) and, most recently, Head Coach of the French national team. Since returning to the UK in 2021 she has been technical coach, and then head coach, at Team Bath, and has overseen the University of Gloucestershire’s netball programme.
Rory McCann added, “Asha’s exemplary coaching skills and impressive track record speaks for itself. Her appointment reinforces our commitment to offering the best sporting experiences for our girls and ensuring that our scholars receive exceptional support from top-tier sports professionals.”
Both Louise and Asha will begin their roles in September 2025.
