A3 Festival 2025

Following the impressive A Level, CTEC and IB results earlier this summer, Bryanston is proud to celebrate the outstanding achievements of our Year 11 (B) pupils in today’s GCSE exams. These results reflect their determination, perseverance and commitment, supported every step of the way by the expertise and encouragement of our staff.

Highlights are as follows:

  • One in five pupils achieved five or more 8/9s (A*).
  • 93 per cent of grades awarded were 9-4.
  • The highest individual points total achieved was an outstanding 105 points, which included ten grade 9s.

Head Richard Jones commented, “Congratulations to all our B pupils on your excellent GCSE results. Your success demonstrates not only academic strength across a broad range of subjects but also your ability to balance study with sport, music, drama, and other extra-curricular pursuits. I’m proud of you all and look forward to seeing you thrive over the next two years in the Sixth Form (A3 and A2), alongside the new pupils who will be joining us.”

Deputy Head Academic, Mark Deketelaere, added, “Well done! These excellent results are the reward for two years of hard work and dedicationduring which it has been a privilege to watch you develop on that journey. With the guidance of our academic staff, your tutors and the pastoral team, you are now ready to take the next step and seize every opportunity in the Sixth Form.”

As they enter the Sixth Form, pupils benefit not only from regular one-to-one sessions with their personal tutors but also from weekly CPs (Correction Periods) with academic staff. Unique to Bryanston, CPs provide pupils with dedicated feedback opportunities outside the traditional classroom, allowing them to refine their work, critique, and strengthen their learning. Combined with tutor sessions and subject Assignment Periods, CPs create a distinctive framework for personalised feedback, whether offering extra support, consolidating understanding, or providing stretch and challenge.

Bryanston’s Sixth Form is a highly popular and oversubscribed entry point, offering a distinctive mix of academic breadth, co-educational life, and a vibrant Sixth Form culture. The balance of pupils who continue from earlier years alongside many new joiners creates a dynamic community full of continuity, diversity and fresh perspectives.
