This weekend, Bryanston came alive with one of the most anticipated traditional events of the year – House Singing. Taking place within the first three weeks of term, the event has become a highlight of Bryanston life, offering a warm and inclusive welcome to new pupils while celebrating the spirit of its large boarding community.
For three weeks, all 12 boarding houses have been rehearsing tirelessly for this year’s theme: romantic comedies. Their hard work shone through on stage as pupils entertained the audience with colourful costumes, imaginative choreography, and an impressive variety of lively performances. From D year through to A2, every pupil joined in, demonstrating teamwork, creativity, and plenty of good humour!
Shaftesbury House emerged victorious, taking home the top prize but there were many individual awards for teamwork, solo performances, and standout contributions.
This is a wonderful example of the Bryanston boarding community coming together, in Coade Hall with everyone cheering, joining in and supporting their friends. Clemmy R and Sam B, Heads of School, expertly managed the evening between performances, energising the audience and keeping the night flowing.
Beyond singing, the weekend offered plenty more to enjoy, from sporting fixtures and fun inflatables to baking and movies in the boarding houses.
Congratulations to everyone who took part in House Singing 2025 and brought us yet another unforgettable night.
