A Celebration of Achievement at Prep Presentation Day

9 July 2025

House Winners - Shillingstone

Applause, pride and a summer sunshine filled the Prep School on Friday 4 July, as pupils, staff and families gathered for the annual Presentation Day, the traditional finale to the academic year, recognising achievements and progress across year groups.

In his welcome address, Chair of Governors Eric Benedict thanked every member of the Prep community for “your support, enthusiasm and belief in what Bryanston Prep stands for.” He also gave a final message to Year 8 leavers to “stay curious, always be kind and be brave enough to try and try again.” He wished those moving on to new schools, good luck and a warm welcome to those joining Bryanston’s Senior School. Head Simon Ridley spoke about the highlights of the year, thanked staff and gave a fond farewell to colleagues moving on next term.

Outgoing Head Boy Fraser gave a wonderful speech and then handed the mantle to newly appointed Head Girl, Alexa. Thunderous cheers greeted the announcement that Shillingstone had lifted the coveted House Cup, capping a year‑long contest.

The starter and senior string orchestras performed beautifully, along with four original dances, choreographed by pupils in Years 5-8, and others ranging from ballet to street dance. Even our Nursery children performed their own enchanting ballet display.

Pupils now look forward to a well‑earned summer break.
