The Bryanston Short Stay Experience

The Bryanston Short Stay Experience
Education at its most individual, tailored to you

Bryanston’s Short Stay Experiences offer an introduction to British boarding school life through carefully designed pathways, shaped around each pupil’s age, interests and aspirations. Pupils become part of Bryanston’s academic and co-curricular community, learning alongside current pupils and benefiting from outstanding teaching, facilities and pastoral care.

Short Stay Programmes (Ages 13–18)

At Bryanston, pupils can choose between a General Course or a Specialist Provision Course, depending on their interests, strengths and ambitions.

General Course

The General Course offers pupils the chance to experience the full breadth of Bryanston’s academic and co-curricular life. Pupils follow a personalised timetable within the mainstream curriculum, supported by Bryanston’s distinctive approach to teaching and learning, the Bryanston Method.

Alongside their studies, pupils take part in sport, creative arts, societies and boarding life, making friendships and gaining a genuine understanding of the school’s values, culture and community.

Specialist Provision Courses
A Bespoke, Concierge-Style Experience

Bryanston’s Specialist Provision Courses are designed for pupils with a strong passion or talent in a particular area. Delivered in a highly bespoke way, each programme is individually curated to reflect the pupil’s strengths, interests, and goals.

While pupils remain fully involved in school life, these courses provide enhanced focus, expert mentoring and tailored opportunities in their chosen discipline, supporting meaningful progress while maintaining academic balance.

The music pathway can include performance, composition, ensemble work and music technology, supported by specialist staff and full access to Bryanston’s rich musical culture.

Drama

Pupils focus on acting techniques, voice training, performance, rehearsal and production experience, and playwriting, building confidence, creativity and collaboration through teaching, workshops and practical performance.

Dance
With weekly classes spanning a wide range of dance styles, pupils receive technique training, performance coaching, and career guidance, alongside opportunities to connect with the wider dance community.

Technical Theatre
Pupils interested in the technical side of the performing arts join Bryanston’s resident stage crew, learning production skills such as lighting, sound, set, costume and stage management. Pupils work in Bryanston’s 600-seat purpose-built theatre with professional grade lighting and sound systems.

This forward-looking pathway is designed for pupils interested in business, creativity and problem-solving. Pupils explore entrepreneurial thinking, leadership, and innovation through project-based learning, collaboration and real-world challenges, supported by Bryanston’s culture of independent thought.

Art specialists benefit from studio-based learning tailored to their interests, exploring a range of media while developing a personal creative direction. The course supports experimentation, portfolio development, and critical thinking, guided by specialist teachers who are also practicing artists.

This pathway enables pupils to develop hands-on design thinking, innovation, and problem-solving. With access to modern workshops and equipment, pupils build practical skills while exploring the design process from concept to creation through project-based learning.
