Thorold Coade, Bryanston’s longest-serving headmaster, thought that education’s purpose was ‘the widening and deepening of the experience of life’.
This generous and accessible notion of what a school can do is one to which Bryanston still fully subscribes. Participation in a varied spectrum of activity is encouraged and celebrated, adding to our pupils’ intellectual, social and emotional development and to their understanding of their place in the world.

Co-Curricular Activities
At Bryanston we recognise the importance of offering young people the chance to explore new activities and interests, to enable them to have a balanced education and live life to the full. We offer over 80 different co-curricular activities to inspire and engage every child outside the classroom.

Outdoor Education
We highly value the benefits that our outdoor education programme brings to pupils’ development.

Pioneering
Pioneering has long been part of a Bryanston education. It offers pupils opportunities to get involved in a wide range of activities around the school and in the local community.

Charities & Outreach
We encourage all pupils to be outward-looking and to contribute to the community they find themselves in, whether local or global, to learn to notice others around them and to look outside their own needs.
