Bryanston’s much-loved BryFest transformed the final week of term into a joyful, campus-wide celebration of every creative discipline. Over seven days, pupils threw themselves into roles onstage and behind the scenes – acting, dancing, directing, designing sets, running lighting rigs, and managing sound.
Classical ensembles shared the bill with rock bands, and the end-of-term dance showcase united dancers from every year group in contemporary, ballet, and modern pieces. The summer concert spilled out of the Concert Hall and into the warm evening air with steel pans setting a mellow mood, choirs filling the rafters, and the orchestra bringing the night home with Tangled, Skyfall, and Steve Vai’s For the Love of God, featuring stellar soloists Xandi S., Ellen Y. K., Ethel S., and Jasper G.
Bry Bands once again delivered Bryanston’s very own ‘Glastonbury in the Quad’ performing an eclectic mix ranging from Mitski and Daft Punk to Sade and Paramore. Time after time, our pupil bands raise the bar, and this year was no exception.
Elsewhere, young actors re-imagined Twelfth Night for a modern audience, performing across several evenings. Beyond the stage, the annual summer art exhibition showcased striking photography, fine art, 3D installations, and the impressive A2 leavers’ portfolios. The Design & Technology exhibition was equally inspiring, displaying projects that ranged from ECA prototypes to full-scale Greenpower racing cars.
Whether drawn by the thrum of a bass guitar, the hush before a soliloquy, or the glow of gallery lights, BryFest 2025 offered a week of creativity that united the entire Bryanston community – a perfect, show-stopping celebration of yet another extraordinary year.
