Building on the success of Bryanston’s excellent A Level and IB results, the school is celebrating the outstanding achievements of its Year 11 (B) pupils in their GCSE exams. This year’s results reflect the hard work, resilience and dedication of pupils, supported by the exceptional guidance of the staff.
Highlights of the GCSE results are as follows:
- 43% of grades awarded were 9 to 7. This is double the average for the South West region
- 25% of grades awarded were 9s and 8s
- The highest individual points total was an outstanding 112 points, with eight grade 9s and five grade 8s
Head Richard Jones praised the efforts of the year group, commenting: “Congratulations to all our B pupils for achieving such an excellent set of GCSE results. These results are not just a reflection of their academic abilities in numerous subjects, but also their ability to balance hard work with commitments outside of the classroom whether in sports, music or on the stage. I am proud of their achievements and look forward to seeing how their creativity and ambition continue to flourish over the next two years in the Sixth Form, alongside new pupils joining us.”
Bryanston’s unique approach to education, with its Bryanston Method, combining a one-to-one tutoring system, structured assignment periods and classroom teaching, provides a highly individualised and effective learning environment. This approach encourages self-discipline, initiative and time management skills, ensuring that pupils are not only prepared for their Sixth Form study – whether in A Levels, IB or CTECs – but also for success beyond Bryanston.
