Bryanston School has been recognised as one of the UK’s leading independent schools after being shortlisted for a series of prestigious national awards, including the coveted Co-Ed Senior School of the Year at the Independent Schools of the Year 2025.
One of the most distinguished categories in the sector, this award celebrates the best all-round co-educational schools that provide outstanding education and environments for their pupils. As one of the UK’s first independent co-educational boarding schools, Bryanston is proud to be recognised, reflecting the strength of its ethos and its position as one of the country’s largest.
Alongside this nomination, Bryanston is also a finalist for:
- Life Beyond School – Talk Education Awards 2025
- Alumni Relations – School House Magazine Awards 2025
- Best Eco Warrior School – Tatler Schools Awards 2026
The Life Beyond School and Alumni Relations categories highlight Bryanston’s commitment to supporting pupils for life, not just during their school years. This long-term vision underpins two new initiatives launching in November 2025 – Bry30, a dedicated community for Old Bryanstonians (OBs) aged 18–30, providing mentoring, networking, and career development; and the Bry Founders Forum (BFF), which will unite entrepreneurs, business leaders and angel investors to support OBs pursuing entrepreneurial ventures.
Recognition as Best Eco Warrior School reflects Bryanston’s ambitious sustainability programme, voted for by parents and pupils. Initiatives include a rewilding project planting 250 native saplings across the 450-acre campus, a pupil-led Green Committee, and student participation in the national Greenpower competition, where teams design and race electric cars. Sustainability is embedded in school life, giving pupils values and skills they will carry into the future. Further developments in 2025 include the launch of the Future Roots Festival celebrating regenerative practices.
Earlier this summer, Bryanston was also shortlisted for the TES Boarding School of the Year Award 2025, acknowledging its exceptional boarding provision.
Head Richard Jones said, “To be named a finalist for Co-Ed Senior School of the Year, alongside recognition across other key categories, is a tremendous honour. These awards highlight the quality of our whole school community – staff, pupils, parents and OBs – and the values that make Bryanston distinctive. When families join Bryanston, they join a lifelong community. We are proud to be recognised nationally for excellence, both within the school and in the way we prepare and support our pupils well beyond it.”
