Bursaries and Scholarships

The Governors and the Headmaster of Bryanston Knighton House are committed to broadening access to the School from as wide a body of pupils as possible. We therefore offer financial assistance in the form of means-tested bursaries to eligible parents.

How to apply for a bursary

Forms and conditions of bursaries are available from our School Business Manager who will be happy to talk you carefully through the process to ensure you have all you need to complete the application.

All bursaries are means tested and they are awarded and reviewed on an annual basis. Awards are made at the discretion of the Headmaster, the bursar and a governor responsible for reviewing bursary applications.

The purpose of these means-tested bursaries is to help children whose family circumstances are such that they cannot meet the full school fees, but wish their child to enjoy the opportunities that the School affords.

Financial assistance may also be given in some cases where there is a change of family circumstances with an existing pupil which results in difficulty meeting tuition fees. We  always look at these circumstances with compassion and understanding, particularly from the child’s point of view.

Continuity of Education Allowance (CEA)

Bryanston Knighton House supports this scheme for providing financial assistance to service families.

Scholarship awards are available to existing pupils and those wishing to join Bryanston Knighton House.

Scholarships can be awarded in a number of different fields:

  • academic
  • art
  • drama
  • music
  • sport
  • and/or All-Rounder.

Our scholarships range between a 5-25% discount off fees, and can be supplemented by a means-tested bursary.

Our scholarship assessments are held each year.

If you would like more information on scholarships, please email the Admissions Team at or call 01257 452065.

The Greenwood Awards

In June 2014 we announced new substantially-funded awards – The Greenwood Awards – to celebrate the School's 65th anniversary.

Part of our charitable mission is to provide for pupils who might not otherwise be able to afford the fees. The Greenwood Awards are unique to Bryanston Knighton House. The award offers substantial funding to support pupils joining in years 3 &4 with support continuing all the way through the School.
