IB results add to Speech Day celebrations

There were added celebrations at this year’s Speech Day as our IB pupils learned of their excellent diploma results.

Congratulations to all 24 pupils on being awarded their diploma with an average point score of 32 overall. Among the individual subject results were 15 maximum scores (grade 7), 12 of which were at Higher Level. One pupil achieved an impressive 43 points, out of a possible maximum of 45, to confirm her place at Cambridge University next year. In addition, and in true Bryanston style, three pupils successfully took single IB subjects, Film Higher Level and an Extended Essay in Philosophy, to complement their A levels and develop their individual interests.

Head, Sarah Thomas, congratulated the pupils, saying: “These pleasing results are well deserved. Our IB pupils have dedicated themselves not only to their studies, but also to the school community as a whole. I congratulate them wholeheartedly and wish them all the best for their next steps, wherever they may go.

“I would also like to thank Sophie Duncker, our remarkable IB Co-ordinator, who has been key in the success of the IB Diploma at Bryanston and sadly will be leaving us today. She leaves us in the knowledge that the IB at Bryanston is thriving and in a strong position as we start teaching the IB Career-Related Programme from September.”
