Booking Music Lessons - Information for pupils entering Year D

Practical music making and participation are at the heart of Bryanston. All pupils in the D year learn a musical instrument for at least one term.

Pupils’ musical development and engagement is most successful when they take part in an ensemble. We are pleased to be able to operate a unique system of free lessons for those who are currently studying an orchestral instrument and also for those starting lessons on specified orchestral instruments.

Please choose as a minimum one instrument under one of the schemes below by 3 August 2020. Pupils for whom a booking form is not received will be automatically allocated to an instrument in Scheme B. Music Exhibitioners and Scholars should choose from Scheme A and C (fees listed below do not apply).

Scheme A – (two free terms) continuing current tuition and member of an ensemble

Scheme B – (one term free half lessons) starting a new orchestral instrument

Scheme C – (full charge) normal music lessons

Possible combinations:

  • Scheme A or Scheme B for one instrument
  • Scheme A or Scheme B + any from C
