Gold Duke of Edinburgh sailing expedition
Published: 27 April 2017
Over the Easter holidays, eight A3 pupils took part in the practice and assessment sailing expedition on the south coast as part of their Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award.
The expedition was run by the Tall Ships Company and accompanied by Miss Vaughan-Joncey and Miss Rodford. The pupils were given a few days to learn the workings of the 62ft catamaran, before setting off on their assessed expedition along the south coast.
The trip was thoroughly enjoyed by the pupils and staff involved. If we have the interest again next year, we can hopefully repeat this exciting expedition.
