The School recognises that there are children who wish to come to Bryanston but whose parents would find it hard, if not impossible, to pay the fees.
The Governors have always sought to help parents with modest means to send their children to Bryanston, and this determination remains. The funds that support this ambition are limited – but growing with the assistance of the School’s active Development Department.

Criteria for a bursary
The criteria for a bursary, in addition to financial need, are:
- that the prospective pupil will fulfil the academic requirements for the appropriate year of entry;
- that the prospective pupil will engage in the whole life of the school;
- that the parents, the prospective pupil and the Headmaster agree that attendance at the School will be a positive experience for the pupil; and
- the balance of fees due and other extras will be paid by the due date for payment.
A bursary can stand alone as assistance, or it can be supplementary to the assistance offered by a scholarship award. All bursaries are reviewed annually and are subject to the School’s terms and conditions.
