Runners compete at Leweston relays

At the Leweston relays this year, we were up against some very tough opposition from top athletes from, among others, Leweston, Sherborne Girls, Clayesmore, Kingswood, Godolphin and Parkstone Grammar.
It was the usual rough and muddy 1.5 mile (2.4 km) course. The senior girls kept their nerve and were quite consistent with their pace and time. Special mention goes to Lizzie F who came sixth overall with a time of 10.34. And not far behind her were Anoushka T in 11.33 and Emma P just one second after (11.34). The senior A team finished 4th out of eight teams.
We had several new girls this year running in the intermediate category for Bryanston and they all did the school proud with some amazing times. Alice S and Amelia S both completed their leg in exactly the same time (11.33) and Anna DB was just four seconds behind them. But the star of the day was Emily S who came second overall with an amazing time of 9.10. This is particularly commendable as there were over 100 runners from 17 different schools. The intermediate A team finished 6th out of 28 teams
