Pupils teach Ancient Greek at local prep school
Two A3 pupils have been volunteering in the classroom of a local prep school this year. Read their report on the experience below.
Since September we have been going to the local prep school, Knighton House, to teach an extra-curricular class of Ancient Greek.
We have really enjoyed being able to teach such a dynamic and lively class of 10-13 year olds, each in their yellow tops and red dungarees. We have covered many things, from learning how to read the Greek alphabet to conjugating various verbs in the present tense. As well as this, we have looked at different myths from the Greek culture and enjoyed lots of games.
Overall, it has been a really positive experience, and we have enjoyed seeing how the dynamics change from being a teacher instead of the student.
