OB Kwame Anthony Appiah to give 2016 Reith Lectures
OB Professor Kwame Anthony Appiah is the BBC Reith Lecturer for 2016, following in the footsteps of Professor Stephen Hawking and Aung San Suu Kyi.

Professor Appiah will be giving a series of four lectures over the coming weeks on the topic of Mistaken Identity. The first of these will be broadcast on Tuesday 18 October at 9am on BBC Radio 4 and repeated again on Saturday 22 October at 10.15pm. During the lecture entitled Creed, Professor Appiah will argue that the importance of scripture is overestimated when considering religion, while the importance of practice is underestimated.
His three remaining lectures will look at colour, country and culture and the confusions in our thinking of identity.
