Bryanston holds Rugby Masterclass for parents and pupils
On 18 September we held our first rugby masterclass, informing parents and pupils about the effective coaching and management of rugby in the school environment, with parents taking part in both the coaching sessions and a concussion workshop.
All parents and pupils had the opportunity to take part in a coaching workshop hosted by some famous faces, including England Women's Captain Sarah Hunter and her England Head Coach Scott Bemand. The session allowed those involved to explore the rationale behind current coaching techniques and to practise some of those techniques themselves in a practical environment.
Forme Ospreys and London Welsh Head Coach Lyn Jones gave a talk to the Game 1 players and conducted a training session on the first team pitch for all parents and boys to observe.
It was exciting to have such great coaching talent sharing their expertise with the Bryanston community. We hope that everyone who took part learnt something that will help them improve their understanding of the game.
Thank you to all those who gave their time to present or conduct the coaching sessions.
