Our A2 Charities Weekend organised by the Heads of School, has raised an incredible fundraising total of £55,100, following a fantastic programme of events.

The Heads of School chose to support Willdoes, a mental health charity in Dorset, and an international charity, United World Schools, to support their ‘Girls will be Girls’ initiative, to further education for women in Cambodia.

In response to the deeply worrying humanitarian crisis in Ukraine, our Heads of School also decided to focus their fundraising efforts on collecting essential aid for this cause. They decided that all proceeds from the Silent Auction would go towards contributing humanitarian aid for the Ukrainian people.

A truck from Bryanston will soon be travelling to the Ukrainian / Polish border, and the school has pledged to cover the logistical costs of the endeavour. The Silent Auction helped fill the truck with essential aid which is being requested by distribution hubs for crisis support.

Head of Charities and Outreach Doc Fearnley commented: “The weekend encapsulated so much of what Bryanston stands for: it was pupil-led, education focused and put care for others at its heart.

Dog Show to fundraise for A2 Charities Weekend

“The Heads of School galvanised the prefects, the pupil body, the staff and the parents to raise more money than ever before in an A2 Charities Weekend. Thanks to everyone involved – whether a pupil doing a challenge in house, or the A/B Band Concert, a parent offering a silent auction lot, support of our Fashion Show or entry into the Dog Show, or relaxing over lunch with A2 musicians… Everyone played their part.

“Huge thanks to Esme, Spencer, Fiona, Angus and James, for all their hard to work and to all the A2s who organised and supported all the activities.”
