U15 Netball team success at the County Finals
We’re so proud of our U15 netball team for being placed runners-up at the U15 County Finals last week.
Huge congratulations to Erin P, Molly O, Mima T, Jemima H, Thalia D, Lucy C, Issy P (Captain), Roxy D, Ellen Y-L, Annabel W and India N.
In the pool stages, the girls beat Sir John Colfox 19-2, The Thomas Hardye School 13-7, Queen Elizabeth's School Wimborne 11-4, Talbot Heath School 15-7 and Parkstone Grammar 11-10.
In the semi-finals, they played Canford and won 13-6.
They came up against a strong Bournemouth School for Girls team in the final, losing out 3-12 but putting up a valiant fight in the process which the score doesn't truly reflect.
Molly unfortunately injured her ankle in the second game but the three U14 girls who joined the squad for the tournament - Mima, Jemima and Thalia, slotted straight in and played brilliantly. Lucy and India were fantastic supporters both of whom couldn't play due to injury and being out of age group respectively.
Head of Netball Ms Peck commented: “This team has had a very successful season up to the time of writing, winning 17 out of 19 games played, and one of those only by 1 goal. Outstanding performance!”
