A3 pupils host ECA Knitting Club to help make blankets for African charity
Pupils Bonnie D and Ruby P, both in A3, are hosting the School’s ECA Knitting Club for pupils and staff to help make blankets for African charity, Knit-a-square.
The project involves knitting squares which are later made into a blanket by volunteers in South Africa. These blankets are given to orphaned children in South Africa.
Head of Charities and Community Engagement Hannah Fearnley commented: “It’s been brilliant to see so many pupils and staff getting involved with this community challenge project. At all times, but especially during this turbulent time, it is important our pupils are sensitive to the struggles that so many people face and realise that we all have a moral responsibility to provide help in any way we can.”
